There is a chore every podcaster on an email list knows.
The episode goes live. You feel good about it for an hour. Then you remember you are supposed to tell your list it exists.
So you open your email tool, stare at a blank compose window, and think: I will do this tomorrow.
Tomorrow the next episode is already in your head. The newsletter never gets written.
I have done this to myself for years.
Hacks & Hobbies has 700-plus episodes. My list lives in Kit, formerly ConvertKit, and has for a long time. The deliverability, the sequences, the tags, all of it already works. The only thing that did not work was me, sitting down to turn each episode into an email while my brain had already moved on.
The episode was done. The newsletter was the part that quietly fell off.
What we shipped
PodGlue now connects to your own Kit account.
You link it once from Settings. From then on, when you publish an episode, PodGlue writes the newsletter for you and drops it into your Kit account as a draft. Subject line, preview text, body, all pulled from the actual episode: the hooks, the moments, the links.
You open Kit, read it over, change what you want, and send.
That is the whole point I want to be clear about. PodGlue does not send anything. It writes the draft and waits. You are still the one who presses send, because it is your list and your name on it.
What that looks like in practice
You record an interview on a Tuesday. You publish it Thursday morning.
By the time you have poured your coffee, there is a draft sitting in your Kit broadcasts, written from that exact conversation. Not a template with the title pasted in. The real thing, in your words, ready to read.
You can also send your guests to your list on purpose. One click adds a guest as a subscriber, tagged so you can build a thank-you or a "would you share this" automation around the people who actually came on your show. No bulk import, no spreadsheet, no syncing people you never meant to add.
The episode and the email finally live in the same place.
What's next
This is heading to the Kit App Store, so any podcaster on Kit can connect it, not just the people I can reach directly.
After that, the deeper hooks: PodGlue showing up as a step inside Kit's own automation builder, so "new episode" can kick off whatever follow-up you want without you touching it.
The thread through all of it is the same one I keep coming back to. The episode was never the hard part. The follow-through was.
