Get Your Show on Every Podcast App

Every podcast app works from the same thing: your feed.

One link. You hand it to Apple, to Spotify, to Amazon. After that, every new episode shows up on its own.

PodGlue already gives your show that link. What it didn't do was tell you where to take it.

What was wrong

Each directory has its own front door.

Apple calls it Podcasts Connect. Spotify has Spotify for Creators. Amazon has its own page. Pandora sends you through a different company altogether.

None of it is hard. But if you've never done it, you're searching for seven different pages and hoping the article you found is still current.

A lot of what's out there still tells you to submit to Google Podcasts. Google shut that down in 2024.

What changed

In Settings, under RSS & Distribution, there is now a section called Submit your show.

It starts with a short check. Apple and Spotify turn a feed away if it's missing a category, an owner email, cover art that's big enough, or a published episode. PodGlue looks for those four things and tells you which one to fix first.

Then there's one card for each place:

  • Apple Podcasts
  • Spotify
  • Amazon Music and Audible
  • YouTube Music
  • iHeartRadio
  • Pandora
  • Podcast Index

Open a card and you get the steps in order, a button that takes you to the right page, and a button that copies your feed link.

When you're done with one, check Mark as submitted. Next time you come back, you can see what's left.

A concrete example

Spotify is a good one.

You open Spotify for Creators, choose "Find an existing show," and paste your feed link. Then Spotify emails an 8-digit code to the owner email on your feed.

If that email is wrong, the code goes nowhere and you're stuck.

So the check at the top looks at your owner email before you ever leave PodGlue.

What's next

Right now you tell PodGlue when you've submitted. I'd like it to notice on its own when your show goes live in each app, and bring the links back for you.

This section is also part of the RSS & Distribution beta, so not every workspace sees it yet.

Getting listed is a one-time job. It should take an afternoon, not a week of searching.

After that, your time goes back to the conversations. That's what I'm building PodGlue to do.
