If You Already Have a Show, PodGlue Should Already Know It

Your podcast feed already knows your show's name. It knows your description, your name, and your cover art. Every app you've ever listed on reads it.

PodGlue's setup didn't. It asked you to type all of it again, then offered to make you a new cover.

That's backwards for anyone who's been podcasting for a while.

What changed

On the workspace step there's now a box that asks: Already have a podcast?

Paste your RSS feed, or your Apple Podcasts or Spotify link, and click Import my show. PodGlue reads your feed and fills in your show name, description, host name and cover.

Nothing gets saved behind your back. You see what we found, you fix anything that's off, and then you continue.

When setup's done, PodGlue takes you straight to importing your episodes, with your feed already filled in.

A concrete example

Say you've been putting out a weekly show for three years. You paste your Apple Podcasts link. A second later, your show name, the description you wrote back in episode one, your name and your cover art are all sitting in the form.

You change the description because it's out of date. You keep everything else. Two minutes later you're pulling in your back catalogue.

What's next

Next, setup will ask what your show is for, whether that's a business, a hobby, or building a community, so the questions PodGlue asks to learn your voice actually fit you.

If you've been putting off setting up PodGlue because it felt like starting over, it isn't anymore. Your show comes with you.
