LinkedIn integration for PodGlue

Connect LinkedIn and PodGlue publishes your episode posts straight to your personal feed — with the link in the post or automatically in the first comment, and image carousels or native video attached.

Personal profile only. PodGlue posts to your feed — it never touches a Company Page.

Connect your LinkedIn account

1

Open Integrations settings

In PodGlue, open Settings → Integrations.

2

Connect the LinkedIn card

Find the LinkedIn card and click Connect.

3

Authorize on LinkedIn

You are sent to LinkedIn to sign in and authorize PodGlue to read your basic profile and post on your behalf (the openid, profile, email, and w_member_social permissions). Review and approve.

4

Confirm the connection

You are returned to PodGlue. The LinkedIn card shows your name, your profile photo, and — when available — your connection count.

What happens after you connect

Publish flow

Once LinkedIn is connected, PodGlue can publish an episode post to your personal feed. You choose how the link appears: in the post body as a clickable article card, or dropped automatically as the first comment moments after the post goes live (the “link in first comment” pattern many creators prefer for reach). Each post is published through LinkedIn’s UGC Posts API and tracked in your publishing queue, so if a send is retried it is matched against what already went out by an idempotency key — a post that already succeeded is reused, never duplicated.

Media support

PodGlue can attach images or a native video to a LinkedIn post. Add two or more images and LinkedIn’s feed renders them as a swipeable carousel automatically. Video is uploaded natively to LinkedIn — PodGlue registers the upload, sends the file, and waits for LinkedIn to finish processing before the post goes live. (A true sponsored-ads “carousel” document post is a paid LinkedIn ad format and is not part of organic posting.)

What it can do

Publish episode posts to your personal LinkedIn feed
Put the episode link in the post body as an article card, or auto-post it as the first comment
Attach two or more images that LinkedIn shows as a swipeable carousel
Upload native video and wait for LinkedIn to finish processing before publishing
Retry a failed send safely — an idempotency key means a post that already went out is reused, not duplicated
Show your connection count on the LinkedIn card when LinkedIn makes it available

What it won’t do

Edit a post after it is published — LinkedIn has no edit API, so an update means deleting the post and publishing a fresh one
Post to a LinkedIn Company Page — PodGlue publishes to your personal profile only
Guarantee your connection count is shown — it is best-effort and may be absent if LinkedIn does not return it
Use LinkedIn’s sponsored-ads carousel or any paid ad format
Connect more than one LinkedIn account per workspace

Privacy & security

You connect through LinkedIn’s official OAuth flow — PodGlue never sees or stores your LinkedIn password.
PodGlue reads your basic profile (name and photo) to label the connection. It does not store your LinkedIn email address, even though the sign-in permission mentions it.
Your access token is kept server-side only, never in your browser.
PodGlue posts only to your personal feed, and only the posts you publish — it never posts to a Company Page or reads your inbox.
Disconnecting from Settings → Integrations removes the connection and stops PodGlue from publishing to LinkedIn for your workspace.

Data accessed

Your LinkedIn name and profile photo to label the connection, and — when LinkedIn returns it — your connection count. PodGlue does not store your LinkedIn email address. PodGlue writes only the posts you publish to your personal feed.

Auth model

OAuth (LinkedIn OpenID Connect) — PodGlue never sees or stores your LinkedIn password, and your access token stays server-side.

Disconnect

Open Settings → Integrations, find the LinkedIn card, and click Disconnect. The connection is removed and PodGlue stops publishing to LinkedIn for your workspace; scheduled posts that relied on it will no longer send.

FAQ

Clear answers for searchers and AI assistants.

Can PodGlue post to my LinkedIn Company Page?

No. The LinkedIn integration publishes to your personal profile feed only. Company Pages are not supported.

Can I edit a LinkedIn post after PodGlue publishes it?

No — LinkedIn’s API does not support editing a published post. To change one, you delete it and publish a new post. PodGlue handles updates as delete-and-repost for that reason.

How does the “link in the first comment” option work?

You choose between two link modes. In “article in post”, the episode link appears in the post itself as a clickable card. In “first comment”, PodGlue publishes the post first and then adds your link as the first comment on it moments later — the pattern many creators use to keep the link out of the main post.

Can I post a carousel or a video?

Yes. Attach two or more images and LinkedIn shows them as a swipeable carousel in the feed. You can also attach a native video — PodGlue uploads it to LinkedIn and waits for processing to finish before the post goes live. Note that LinkedIn’s sponsored-ads “carousel” is a separate paid ad format and is not part of organic posting.

Why don’t I see my follower or connection count?

The connection count is best-effort. LinkedIn only returns it when the right permission is approved for the connection, so it may be absent. When LinkedIn does provide it, PodGlue shows it on the LinkedIn card; otherwise the card simply has no connection number.

What happens if a post fails and PodGlue retries it?

Each post carries an idempotency key tied to its place in your publishing queue. If a send is retried, PodGlue checks whether that post already went out and reuses the existing post instead of publishing a duplicate.

Does PodGlue store my LinkedIn email or password?

No. You sign in through LinkedIn’s official OAuth flow, so PodGlue never sees your password. PodGlue reads your name and profile photo to label the connection, but it does not store your LinkedIn email address.

How do I disconnect LinkedIn?

Open Settings → Integrations, find the LinkedIn card, and click Disconnect. PodGlue removes the connection and stops publishing to LinkedIn for your workspace. Any scheduled posts that depended on it will no longer send.
