The Episode Ships. Then You Forget to Tell Your List.

Here's a pattern I know too well. The episode goes live. I post it everywhere. And the one channel that actually gets people to listen, my email list, is the one I rush, or skip, because it's late and writing the newsletter is its own little project.

That always felt backwards. Your list is the audience you own. It's the people who already said yes to hearing from you. And it was sitting in a completely separate tool from where I make the show.

So we connected the two.

What shipped

PodGlue now connects to Kit (you might still call it ConvertKit). You link your account once in Settings.

After that, when an episode goes live, PodGlue writes the newsletter for you, subject line, body, the link to listen, built from the same episode material PodGlue already understands. It lands in your Kit account as a draft. You open it, make it sound like you, and hit send.

That last part matters: PodGlue never sends email for you. It only ever leaves you a draft. You're always the one who presses send.

What it looks like on a normal week

You record on Tuesday. The episode publishes Thursday morning. By the time you sit down with coffee and open Kit, the draft is already there waiting, you tweak the first line and send it before you've finished the cup.

The guest you just interviewed? One click adds them to your list, tagged to their episode, so you can follow up properly instead of letting a good relationship go cold.

And email now shows up in PodGlue's Distribution Center right next to your social posts, so you can see the whole picture of how an episode goes out, not email over here and everything else over there.

What's next

This is the first step. We're working toward a deeper tie-in with Kit, things like kicking off your Kit automations the moment an episode publishes, and dropping a live episode block straight into an email you're writing in Kit, and getting PodGlue listed in the Kit App Store so any podcaster on Kit can add it.

The goal is simple: the work of telling your audience about a new episode should be part of making the episode, not a second job you do at 11pm. One less thing standing between you and the people who actually want to hear from you.
