I ask hosts one question a lot. Think of the best conversation you've had on your show. Where does that relationship live today?
Most people go quiet. Then they say "nowhere", or "my inbox, I think".
That's not a character flaw. Nobody ever gave us a way to see it. We count downloads because downloads are easy to count. Whether a guest heard from you after the episode went live doesn't show up on a dashboard.
So I built a quiz that shows it.
What shipped
The PRM Score is twelve questions, about three minutes. Each one is a moment every host knows. The recording stops and your guest says something off-mic that gives you goosebumps. A guest from last year emails you out of the blue. Two past guests should clearly know each other.
You pick what you'd actually do. After each answer you see the idea from the PRM book behind the question, so you learn something even before you get a score.
At the end you get a score out of 100 across four areas: Capturing, Contextualizing, Follow-Through and Compounding. You also get one of five host types. Mine changes depending on the month, which is its own lesson.
A concrete example
Say you're great in the room. Guests open up, you remember what made each one special, but once the episode is live they rarely hear from you again. You'll probably come out as The Ghost Host: "Lovely episode. Then silence."
Your result tells you what you're good at and where you're losing ground. It also gives you one thing to do this week: send your last five guests a note, each with one specific moment from their episode.
You can put your name on the result card and share it, or send it to a co-host as a challenge. They see your score before they start and a head-to-head when they finish.
What's next
I want each host type to have its own preview image so a shared result looks like what it is. And I'm watching which areas people score lowest on, because that tells me what to build next in PodGlue.
If your score stings a little, good. That's the gap PodGlue exists to close. It remembers what mattered, follows up on schedule, and shows you who should meet who, so your episodes end but your relationships don't.
