A beta tester said something this week that stuck with me. The newest parts of PodGlue sit right next to the parts that have been solid for years, and nothing tells you which is which.
They were right. Studio, where you record with guests, is new. So is Sessions, where those recordings live. So is hosting your RSS feed on PodGlue. They work, but they're still changing week to week.
If you're going to record an interview that matters, you deserve to know that.
What changed
There's a new section in the sidebar called Beta Features. Studio, Sessions and RSS & Distribution live there now.
Each one has a small lock and a Request access button. Click it and I'll see your request. Once I approve it, the lock goes away and everything works exactly as it did before.
Until then, opening one of those pages shows a short note about what it is and why it's in beta, instead of the feature itself.
What didn't change
If your feed is already hosted on PodGlue, it keeps working. Apple, Spotify and every other app still get your episodes. Only the settings screen waits for access.
If you've sent a guest a Studio link, that link still works. Guests never see any of this.
A concrete example
Say you've got an interview booked for next Tuesday and you planned to record it in Studio. Open Studio, click Request access, and I'll turn it on. If it's urgent, reply to any PodGlue email and tell me.
What's next
I'm going to read every request. That's the point. The people who opt in are the ones who'll tell me what breaks, and those three features will come out of beta once they stop surprising anyone.
If you want to help shape Studio, request access. That's the fastest way to make it the tool you'd actually record your show in.
Don’t just read the build. Shape it.
